My new release on DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid / Afro Deep label is available on Beatport!
Late last year I got the opportunity to go down to Atlanta and meet DJ Pierre and the rest of his Afro Acid crew. My friend trip down, I had a great time in the studio and going to see Kevin Saunderson at EQ in Atlanta and then hanging out at the Afro Acid Sunday Funday and seeing Raskal And Bri play.
My second trip down I got to attend the Atlanta Ableton User Group meeting where they showed the Ableton Push 2, went down Afro Acid Studios a couple days, and then saw Doc Martin and DJ Pierre play Back To Back. Those trips inspired these tracks, spending time with the Atlanta house heads, DJs, and artists, spending time in the studio, and time just hanging with friends. I hope you enjoy them and they inspire you as well.
“Reiche’s EP on Afro Acid Deep delivers some diverse and interesting dance floor concepts. The first track, “Bring Out the Love”, drops a straight up house beat with a dope ass bassline. The housiness slowly transcends into a more dark atmospheric yet with an uplifting, contrasting synth line. But it all comes together when the vocal sample “We Got To Bring Out the Love” gets introduced. This definitely creates a unique dance floor experience. “Good Lord” starts with some heavy 909 tom work and reverbed claps. The ominous backdrop features a pulsating atmospheric blend of electrifying crashes and synth lines.”
I hope you enjoy it! Check it Out!
And if you missed it before, here is a video of Raskal and me in Afro Acid Studios jamming out on some Roland AIRA gear, Ableton Push, and a turntable.
